Born at Footherley [cottage], Shenstone, Lichfield. At the time of his marriage Ted was working in Eccleshall at Walton Hall where his father had also worked until his death in 1930s. Walton Hall is now a school. The Cooper family had to let Albert go from their employment during WW1 because they could not see possibility of having another country house after the war.
