"Kent FHS CD 17, which includes Elham shows two banns for William Lince and Sarah Dod(d). The first, on 24-Oct-1779, shows William as being from Nordiam [presumably Northiam], Sussex.
On the list of burials, there is a William LINCE(?) who died in 1826 at age 23(?). If the age at death was actually 83, instead of 23(?), that wouild make him born in 1843 [1743], the same year as Susannah."
