- The John Lince buried 15-Jul-1846 Elham (parents unknown) was born in 1820 and a Shoemaker by profession.
He joined the 49th Foot (Infantry) on 18-Jan-1841 and is at the Chatham barracks in the 1841C.
He was discharged unfit (severe rheumatism) on 9-Jun-1845 after 4 years 164 days service, including 15 months in China and 6 months in India, and became a Chelsea Pensioner.
Possibly an unrecorded son of John Lince 1782, or of William 1784.
