Abel was born in Eaton Bray, and from the Bucks FHS transcription of his marriage to Elizabeth Ayres/Eyres in 1841, his father was William.
From the Bedfordshire County Council transcription of the Eaton Bray Parish Registers, there is only one Turvey family in Eaton Bray just before 1811 (when the transcription ends). The family consists of William Turvey (b1787), his wife Sarah Timpson (1727-1828), and their sons William (b1808) and Ezekiel (b1811).
