- Not sure, but
1) This Thomas was the eldest son of his parents, his brother Francis was the second son, and Mary was the eldest daughter - the same pattern as the children in this Family View. Francis is the assumed grandfather.
2) 1730 is Thomas' christening year, not necessarily his birth year.
3) Wing is close to Slapton.
4) Sayell is not a very common name.
