The 1784 Bedfordshire Poll-book has John Cook of Eaton Bray living in Studham. In 1784 John would have been 66. Studham is about two miles from Little Gaddesden and three from Great Gaddesden.

It seems probable that John's brothers Richard, Thomas and William, moved to Great Gaddesden after John's move to nearby Studham.
